Doximity vs Doceree: Membership Against Marketplace

Both reach physicians, but on opposite routes: the closed network against the programmatic publisher alliance.

Short verdict

Doximity

Take Doximity when verified US reach is what decides the plan.

  • US campaigns with HCP focus, run from a global pharma setup.
  • Specialty-precise reach among verified US physicians.
  • Insertion-order booking is already part of the media plan.

Doceree

Take Doceree when you want programmatic control.

  • US HCP campaigns that want programmatic control instead of IO bookings.
  • Setups bundling HCP reach across multiple professional publishers.
  • The EU build-out matters and gets verified per specialty before booking.

For pure DACH plans Doximity drops out, it has no member base there. Doceree stays a case to verify as long as reach per specialty is unevidenced. Assessment as of 6 July 2026.

Two models, one goal

Doximity is the closed US physician network: NPI-verified members, newsfeed environments, booking via insertion order. Doceree is the marketplace: HCP identity through ID resolution, delivered across professional publishers, programmatically steerable. Identity quality against steerability, that is the actual trade.

Where each platform wins

Doximity wins where trust and environment count: US specialty campaigns with editorial-adjacent formats. Doceree wins where frequency, optimisation and reach mix count, and is the only one of the two with an EU perspective, whose build-out status needs verification per specialty.

The DACH answer

For pure DACH plans Doximity is not an option and Doceree is a case to verify. Most plans land on Medscape plus area logic, with Doceree as the programmatic test once reach per specialty is evidenced.

  • Q01
What separates Doximity and Doceree at the core?

The identity source. Doximity verifies members through the US NPI register and books via insertion order. Doceree resolves HCP identity through ID resolution across its publisher alliance and is programmatically steerable. Identity quality against steerability, that is the actual trade.

  • Q02
Which of the two reaches physicians in DACH?

Neither reliably. Doximity has no member base here. Doceree is building EU reach that needs verification per specialty before booking. For pure DACH plans the route usually runs through Medscape plus area logic.
