AreaSignal · A Datascale data product
Know where your next customers live. Not who they are.
AreaSignal scores areas in any market for your campaign goal, so regional media budget flows where demand lives. No cookies, no IDs, nothing personal inside.
What an AreaSignal segment looks like
Every delivery is a prioritised area list: postal codes, regions or supported area levels, rated against the national average. An index of 168 means the campaign goal is far more likely in this area than in the country as a whole. The score describes an area, never a person.
| Postal code | Region | Index vs. national avg | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| 85757 | Karlsfeld · Munich metro | 168 | high |
| 70839 | Gerlingen · Stuttgart region | 154 | high |
| 40667 | Meerbusch · Rhineland | 147 | high |
| 22587 | Blankenese · Hamburg | 139 | medium |
| 61476 | Kronberg · Frankfurt region | 131 | high |
From campaign goal to area list
Brief the goal
Campaign goal, market and area level are enough to start. Ready-made segment or a custom build from the briefing.
Score the areas
The model rates every postal code or region against the national average: score, index, percentile and confidence.
Steer the budget
The prioritised area list goes into planning, targeting setup and regional tests as CSV or GeoJSON.
AreaSignal is in development and market-entry phase. First integrations are coming soon; the export route works today.
One scoring model for any market
Ready-made segments as the starting point, custom builds from a briefing. The same model scores postal codes in Munich, arrondissements in Paris or ZIP codes in Texas.
Privacy and limits
The first question in every sign-off comes from data protection. AreaSignal is built so the answer stays short:
Built into the product
- No personal identifiers, technically and contractually
- Sensitive categories excluded: health, kids, politics, finances
- Areas with a thin data base are suppressed or flagged
- Methodology documentation for legal review
Excluded
- Person-level targeting of any kind
- Health-condition inference
- Targeting children and minors
- Political persuasion
- Exploiting financial distress
- Sensitive places
- Individual-level location tracking
- Small audience groups
- Re-identification attempts
- Discriminatory pricing or offer steering based on area attributes
The architecture works at area level. Methodology, privacy rules and limitations live on the Methodology & Privacy page. The legal assessment of the specific use stays with the buyer.
Product site areasignal.de
AreaSignal is a standalone data product of Datascale One GmbH with its own website. Product updates and the segment catalog appear there first.
Does AreaSignal contain personal data?
No. AreaSignal works with aggregated area signals. There are no person or device profiles, aggregation thresholds prevent inference about individuals, and re-identification is excluded contractually and technically.
Is AreaSignal a consulting service?
No, it is a data product of Datascale One GmbH: defined geo segments, fixed export formats and documented methodology. Pilot support can come on top, but it is not the product.
Does AreaSignal replace the legal review of a campaign?
No. The architecture works without personal identifiers, and methodology and limits are documented. The legal assessment of the specific use stays with the buyer.
Is AreaSignal already available in DSPs?
AreaSignal is in development and market-entry phase. First integrations are coming soon. The early product state delivers geo segments with scores and direct exports for planning, targeting setup and tests.
